"RHYTHMIC Episode 1: 'Oblivion'"

Original TV Series

Cinematography meets Choreography at RHYTHMIC, produced by an all student crew and aired on Orange Television Network weekly.

I created RHYTHMIC to combine my two favorite forms of visual storytelling, dance and cinematography, to introduce the unique concept and feeling that comes when they're mixed. Using industry grade equipment, such as Amaran lights, Arri Alexa and Canon cameras, this is the pilot episode featuring Molly Lindstrom dancing her original choreography to "Oblivion" by Labrinth.

I have taken on the roles of Executive Producer and Director of Photography because of my experience and readiness to teach new members about any position of their choosing so that the show can flourish after I graduate.

"RHYTHMIC Episode 7: 'Partition'"

Cinematography meets Choreography at RHYTHMIC, produced by an all student crew and aired on Orange Television Network weekly.

The final episode of Season 1 of RHYTHMIC features Talia Panagiotopoulos dancing her original choreography to "Partition" by Beyoncé. Also features the combined cinematic efforts and production by the student-run crew.

"RHYTHMIC Episode 6: 'Risk'"

Episode 6 of RHYTHMIC features Ellie Cohen dancing her original choreography to "RIsk" by Gracie Abrams. Also features the combined cinematic efforts and production by the student-run crew.

"LILY"

Dramatic Short Film

A cinematically focused story of love and despair told through color, emotion, and sound.

...also my final project for my advanced cinematography course.

My style of storytelling is almost completely visually driven, meaning there is little to no dialogue. I believe scenes can be just as, if not more, powerful without words. It's like the saying, "a picture tells a thousand words," but it's a moving picture so it must tell more. This film is very intentionally interpretive. If you walk away thinking about it, I've done a good job.

"Arrived"

Dramatic Short Film

This is one of my first independent films EVER based off of a two sentence horror story I was told as a kid.

This film is focused on visual storytelling through acting, as it does not include any dialogue. I gave the actresses directions and they delivered to exceed my vision.

It is interesting to see how far I've come.

"How To Be Successful: Tutorial"

 Short Film

My assignment was to create a "step-by-step tutorial" for anything. I could choose what I wanted to teach my classmates to do in however many steps I wanted.

Upon watching my classmates' final projects, I learned how to bake bread, draw a cartoon duck, and make pancakes all with step 1, step 2, step 3 directions.

This was what I showed to my class. A tutorial on how to achieve something we all want.
